People Nordic walk for many reasons: to get fit, lose weight, tone up, exercise outdoors or to aid recovery from illness or injury.

Whatever the reason, in order to gain maximum benefit from your Nordic walking it is important that you learn the correct technique from a qualified Nordic walking instructor if you want to gain maximum benefit from your Nordic walking poles.  Having been trained by British Nordic Walking in accordance with the strict guidelines set down by the International Nordic Walking Federation (INWA), I teach the ten step method.  The INWA method takes you beyond the basic techniques of how to walk with and plant the poles. You will be introduced to more advanced techniques that you can master with time and practice.

In all my Nordic walking classes and social walks, individual well-being is paramount.  I am fully insured and first-aid trained. All my social walks are risk-assessed on at least two occasions to take account of seasonal changes to the terrain. Social Nordic Walk numbers are deliberately limited to ensure more personal guiding and instruction and for better group management.
